I sometimes tell myself, I can't be the only one who lingers on Netflix and YouTube and enjoys Events outside of work. Successful, or "Successful", people have got to have their childhood hobbies and tv shows that follow them into adulthood and help them to keep their sanity. From Friends to Gilmore Girls, or even Full House and 7th Heaven; in a way, they have been a part of making us who we are. I think you ask really good questions. I think there are many paths ahead of us, and each one will most likely take us somewhere different. I know a lot of people who switched careers later in life, so maybe we're not just meant for one path in our life. People grow and change all the time. I like your conclusion, though. It's important to find peace with whatever answers you find and paths you choose.J. Haha. But, I really liked the quote about what we do with our lives is a process of elimination. Honestly, its like dating. Is there really "the one" you're meant for? "The one" you are "meant" to be with? In the same way, is there "the one future" that you're supposed to have, "the one person" you're supposed to become? Or are there many careers we can see ourselves having, and many different people we can see ourselves being in the future? I don't have the answers to those questions, but ...I think the point of Life sometimes, or at least an aspect of life, is trying to answer those questions in our hearts and minds. And finding peace in the answers we've found. And if she is as close a friend as you say, then maybe you can be the one supporting her? I wish the best for your friend, and for you.J. She says she wants to go back, and she says she wants to become a teacher, but something tells me that that's not what she really wants. Like many others, I don't think she knows where she is going and feels burdened by a feeling of responsibility to others. I believe that she wants to learn and be successful, but I think she feels like there is no one to help her through her decisions along the way. I think what she needs is support. Thank you.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
